Cognitive Analytic (CAT) Therapy for NPD

I don’t know too much about CAT therapy, but I’m reading an article now which I’m posting here because it looks so interesting.  CAT is neither psychoanalytic or behavioral but works by asking the patient to name and describe their self-states (schemas), and find alternative, less destructive self-states to replace them with.

CAT has traditionally been used for BPD but is also being used successfully for some cases of NPD as well.
